Open Set Passing

Arrange Players in all 6 spots of an Open Set. (Highlighted in black) Players will move the ball around clockwise, using their footwork to make their passes shorter. The passer, and the player receiving the pass, will run towards each other. Once a pass is received, the player will then change direction and repeat the process to the next position in the open set. When directed by the coach, the players will then begin passing the ball counterclockwise. Simultaneously, close defenders (highlighted in red) will be stationed at the 4 corners of the defensive end. The ball will be swung around the field, with defenders using their footwork to get \\'under the ball\\' as to not let the pass leave the field in the event the pass is not caught.

2-3-1 Passing Rotations

Midfield pass (top diagram) -When a midfielder passes to an attackman, all midfielders will rotate simultaneously, in the direction of the pass. Attack pass (bottom diagram) -When an attackman passes to a midfielder, all attackmen will rotate simultaneously, in the direction of the pass -The passer will 'flash' (cut across the net). KEYS -Always actively look for the ball when either: A. Cutting to the stack as a mid B. Flashing across the net as an attackman -Always make the pass short

2-3-1 Dodging rotations

Rules: -Both triangles rotate when there is a dodge -Players must maintain spacing throughout the motion of the offense (exchange passes, carries, dodges etc.) -Dodger must make it obvious he is dodging as to give time for players to clear through -When dodging from x, other attackmen should creep-in towards the crease before the dodge, as to give them time to flash across the net and clear space. The high wing midfielder must also 'get through', to clear space for the dodger.

ND Outback Shooting

Variation 1 - Midfield rotation (Top Diagram) Players will line up in the 3 midfield positions of the 2-3-1 set. A Player from one of the high wings will dodge down the alley. A player from the other two lines will 'follow' the dodger by using their footwork to follow the 2-3-1 rotation (opposite wing will follow, stack player will clear the stack). The ball carrier will reverse the field by rolling back, and passing the player who was previously at the opposite high wing. The player receiving the pass will then immediately throw the ball to the player exiting the stack for a step-down shot. Variation 2 - Attack rotation (Bottom Diagram) Players will line up at the 3 Attack spots of the 2-3-1. A player at X will pull out for a dodge, giving their other attackmen time to collapse towards the crease in preparation to rotate. The ball carrier will then dodge. Upon breaking GLE, the ball carrier will then reverse the field by either rolling, or using a step-back throw-back motion, passing the ball to the player who filled the ball carriers original position. Upon receiving the pass, this player will then immediately pass the ball again to the 3rd player, who will then take a sweep shot.
